EMPOWERED PIES

Opportunities for vulnerable girls to thrive through netball

With support of The Confident Girls Foundation, Collingwood runs the Empowered Pies Program. This program aims to provide opportunities for vulnerable Australian girls to thrive through sport.

The Confident Girls Foundation helps girls achieve their dreams by highlighting and helping eliminate key drivers of gender bias including, financial barriers, lack of leadership opportunities, isolation, gender stereotypes that negatively affect young women and barriers to physical activity.

The Empowered Pies program focuses on building empowerment, encouraging leadership, promotion of health and wellness and helping program participants find their voice. Our netball and AFLW players participate in programs in the Northern Territory, Latrobe Valley, Bendigo and metropolitan Melbourne promoting gender equality, leadership and participation.
