Collingwood Football Club is very proud to have been a partner of Fight MND and The Big Freeze since its inception in 2014.
Collingwood’s ethos is “Side by Side” and our club aims to unite and inspire people through the power of sport and to care for each other and especially for those in need.
Each year Collingwood, and its members and fans come together to support The Big Freeze at the ‘G and help fight The Beast.
On Monday 10 May, Fight MND along with both Collingwood Magpies, Melbourne Football Club and key partner Coles were present to unveil the Big Freeze 7 beanie and official launch the 2021 campaign and fight against the beast that is Motor Neurone Disease.
The Queen’s Birthday clash between Collingwood and Melbourne at the MCG is one of the highlights of the AFL calendar. Our Magpies’ netball fixture also features the Melbourne Derby against the Vixens at John Cain Arena, which opens the blockbuster day of sport and offers up a tremendous platform to promote and support an important community cause – the fight against MND.
It is a privilege for our club to support Neal Daniher and The Big Freeze and to partner with Channel 7 and our Major Community Partner Coles to drive the sale of Beanies and other initiatives.
