In our first pre-season hit out for 2021, the Magpies flew down to Hobart to take on the NSW Swifts at the Hobart Netball & Sports Centre.

After a compelling performance on the court on Friday evening taking game one against the Swifts 75 – 45, Saturday kicked off with a Community clinic for seventy-two participants. Part of this community clinic included the athletes working with forty of Netball Tasmania’s pathway athletes providing a day of netball fun and the opportunity to learn new skills for the upcoming netball season.

The weekend finished on a successful note winning the second game against the Swifts 83 – 42.

Back on the road, Collingwood next head to Traralgon from Friday 26 March to Sunday 28 March taking on the Thunderbirds and Firebirds across three days at the newly opened Gippsland Regional Indoor Sport Stadium.

The weekend is set to bring the best of national netball action to the Latrobe Valley Region as part of the Latrobe Valley Community and Sport Project with Collingwood athletes again hosting community clinics with local associations. Part of the weekend will include Nicole Richardson and Kate Upton running a coaches workshop alongside a league run workshop for local umpires.

If you want to be part of the action in what promises to be an exciting weekend of netball, visit the event page to purchase tickets here.
